I am Vincent, father of 3 wonderful girls, passionate about the United States, Ultra Trail Running and thru-hiking. I have several long distances to my credit, the biggest French races like the UTMB, the UT4M, the UTCAM, the Templiers, The Gypaete... and a few Great Hiking Trails (GR5, GR20...).
In search of new adventures but also of well-being, and connection with nature, I decided to stop dreaming and take actions. After taking care of others, I've decided to take care of myself and in 2022...

When desire resists the first attacks of common sense, we seek reasons for it. And we find some that are worthless. The truth is, we don't know how to name what drives you. Something in you grows and loosens the ties, until the day when, not too sure of yourself, you leave for good.

From April 21, 2022, follow my daily adventure on my Logbook , and you will understand why I could not restrain my desire to untie the bounds and explore, by walking, the great American West, from Mexico to Canada.
I will try to do one post per day with photos, videos, and a brief account of each day.
I will put my progress in kilometers, or in miles..., my waypoints, my moods, my health situation, the weather, anecdotes, my encounters with hikers and the environment, the little pleasures but also the struggles, things to think about, but above all... beautiful landscapes.
